(for the record, I recall reading that this game in total has buffed almost twice as much as it has nerfed. I saw it in an Arcanaville thread, it has to be true. So no, let the balancing commence!)

Going back through his previous posts, he's complaining about the AE exploit fixes ( at least in the last two posts he is).
Either that or he's a time traveler that has found out that Going Rogue is going to have ED2: Electric Boogaloo in it.
It's really either or, but gun to my head I'd have to say it's the first one.

No, I'm not, because there've been more buffs than nerfs and plenty of free new content steadily coming out for us, the players. Someone not too long ago went to the trouble of cataloging the buffs and nerfs in the history of the game to demonstrate this truth.
As for the recent AE "nerf", when an exploit is corrected, that's not a nerf. That's a fix. Exploiting bugs is cheating, it's not a playstyle and it's not acceptable. I'm just sorry that it took so long for the Devs to take action to shut it down.

Not at all.
I love this game, and I want to see it survive all of its competition.
That means that outliers that trivialize the game and that are bad for the game's long term health need to be fixed.
It sucks when your pet whatever gets hit by this, but the reason it is the flavor of the month is because it is too good. When you seek out the FOTM, you should understand that you are doing so and enjoy it while it lasts, because it can't last forever (otherwise, it would be the Flavor of Forever, which is extremely bad for any game).

Game nerfs? Have we had any since ED and the GDN?

Nothing globally like that, outside of the PvP areas, and that was most definately a chnage where some were raised up and others brought down.
Individual sets have of course been tweaked up and down, but thats to be expected to get better balance overall.
Defence IO set bonuses got that major buff, such that all have both a positional and typed component, so that cant be it.
Maybe the OP dislikes Defiance 2.0 compared to 1.0, which is a valid but a minority view. Blasters are certainly more fun for me under 2.0, and perform their role of arresting badguys at high speed admirably.
Im thinking someone just peed in his cornflakes, which is obviously the fault of Paragon Studios.

So take a break, and then come back (or not).
Burnout is very common in every MMO, sometimes you just get tired of the same game all the time.
Try a different MMO, try an offline game, break out your console, or do something non-gamey.

I dream of a nerfless game, where when one set outperforms the others, instead of slightly reducing the power of that set, you simply buff EVERY OTHER SET. Then when you introduce a new set (Willpower) that turns out to be stronger, you simply buff FIFTEEN OTHER SETS. And you keep doing this until all sets are capable of soloing Hamidon, and you have to adjust the power of every single enemy in the entire game just so that they can keep up, and we end up with enemies that deal damage in the thousands with regular hits just so all the numbers balance out.
That would be way better than having to suffer "nerfs" !!!

Shouldn't this "general question to all players" be in the "Player Questions" section?
The answer, by the way, is that many of the nerfs have improved or even outright saved the game. We are much better off than in Issue 1, for example.
And I frankly don't get what devoted farmers are upset about. They can still crank out rewards faster than casual players, which is the driving force to farm, isn't it? Just to get more faster? You can still do that, just not at light speed.

What nerfs? For quite a while now, nerfs have been very minor or rare, and have been outnumbered by buffs. If you're referring to MA, it doesn't even count. They made those changes just weeks after it was released. It's very common for a totally new game mechanic to go through changes like that early on. It isn't part of the game long enough to be considered as standard.
And in the meantime, we've had tons of buffs. Exp was buffed, debt was decreased, leveling speed is faster than ever, more rewards have been added to the game, powers have been buffed...
Seriously, cries of "NERF!" are totally unwarranted and is why you don't see them much over the last couple years.

edit, oh and am i sick of nerfs..well, lets see, my main is a ma scrapper, a set that got buffed a bit ago, hes also a sr which got some nerfs but also got some really good io bonuses in issue 9, and the elusivity buff, so lets call that a wash, and a plant dom, who is getting a buff in the next issue apparently, but already god a very good fix back in the day when mez resistance was added to domination. so yeah, not feeling significantly nerfed here, also my keld and stalker feel a good bit more robust than on their start dates as well. in fact the devs seem to be throwing me some nice upward adjustments on my powers quite regularly, so if this is nerfing, nerf my (self-censored) and call me sally.

Yes, it was completely sarcastic. It's totally unreasonable to expect a game to never nerf anything. The alternatives would be to A) have things that are clearly overpowered that you can't do anything about, or B) continually buff EVERYTHING except the overpowered stuff which would take a thousand times more work and effort.
Take, for instance, you have 200 glasses of water and they're supposed to be equal at 50% capacity. One of the glasses is a little over, at about 60%. Does it make more sense to just pour some out, or to add more water to every single other glass? And if you're taking the no-pour approach, what happens when you accidentally overfill one to 65%?
