Mystic Fortune hidden suprise!

Dunno what anyone's noticed this yet, but the little glowing purple and red card that shows up over a person to show a buff is present is actually one of the City Of Heroes main characters. I noticed it at first when someone gave me The Hermit, and the card was distinctly The Dark Watcher.

I used it on someone and took some caps. This is The Lovers. You know who these kids are.

They're all from the CoH comics and various concept artwork.

The Wheel of Fortune appears to be one of those large mystical circles you get in the Orbenga maps (on both the walls and the floors) but I'd need a screenshot to really identify it properly.

It could also be a more stylised version of the CoT Logo

Multiple people can try (animation on caster end works)
but I've not seen the reciver part less they didn't have one
active at the time. Powerwise one at a time 20 min long,
and they don't stack, first one you click yes to counts.

I've noticed that for Khelds, switching forms activates the Fortune sound effect, just like the Hasten sound is heard every time I switch forms.

Ugh, going 20 minutes hearing a smooch every time I switch is a bit annoying...

Which pet? Don't believe this would overpower MM or Troll/Dom pets. Just make it not affect temps like heavies and shivans.

[/ QUOTE ]The only really impressive effect the Fortunes have for pets would have been +rech, but that doesn't work on pets any more. Some pets could make use of +mez, a few could make use of +buff; they could all make use of +res, +def, or +dam, but the values aren't so high as to be overpowering. +spd doesn't do much for them except to let them catch up to you when you speed away from them.

The Wheel of Fortune FX plays every minute or so, so you're stuck with the sounds for the full 20 minutes whether you're changing or not.

The Wheel of Fortune FX plays every minute or so, so you're stuck with the sounds for the full 20 minutes whether you're changing or not.

[/ QUOTE ]When you use a power with a pseudopet, the pet inherits the Fortune and plays the animation again. It's amusing for patch-like powers to have the Fortune FX in the middle of the circle.

Alright, I got me a screenshot of The Wheel of Fortune, but i still can't tell what it's supposed to be. I can clearly make out the CoH skyline along the bottom, but as for the actual Wheel...*shrug*

Looks like a wheel surrounded by the zodiac to me. I can see a crab in there. As to the Sun, it may just be a sun, though that particular style looks kind of familiar...

More likely a reference to Sister Solaris then.


Also, anybody notice that the Wheel of Fortune seems to have the AT symbols on it. Scrapper is clearly recognizable at the very top, slightly off to the right, Tanker at the opposite end of the wheel and Corruptor in the lower right corner.

The inner ring appears to be the origin icons, as well. The symbol at the 12 o'clock position looks a lot like the Science icon.

Very, very nice. So from left to right and top to bottom they are: Ghost widow with Arachnos Banner, Synapse Running, Dark Watcher, Manticore and Sister Psyche in embrace, Numina, Midnight Club banner, Unknown, Arachnos Tower (Ghost Widow's?), Archetype Zodiac wheel with Origins over Cryptic Logo.

That sun image seems vaguely familiar. The only places I can think that might have something similar are Oranbega, Ouroboros, and Cimerora. Obviously I could be completely off base.

Either it's my imagination, or seems the 'some weird guy kissin through my speakers' sound isnt there anymore. Or not just constantly recycling... For a spell I would simply deny the fortune buffs simply because of 'the Lovers's audio.
