How to set a badge title

I kinda always wondered if it was possible to set a badge title without going via the badge option screen.

Always wanted a bind/macro that could execute a power,and at the same time changes the outfit and select a title suited for the outfit! :p

And the other day when I was reading the guide section on the Euro COH forum I found a guide called Setting badge Titles (http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=173638&page=1&view=collap sed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#173638)

In that post I found this command /settitle, apparently every badge has a number ID and if you know what number a certain badge has, you can type:/settitle followed by the number of the specific badge you want to use as a badge title.

So if you type this for an example: /settitle 0 that would give you the Burkholder’s Bane as a current badge title.

Since the EU guide wasn’t complete I decided to log on my toon in COH and see if I could find any badges he had missed, I found some more but since I don’t have all the badges(sigh! :) ) I can’t make a complete list.

I filled in most of the holes for you. Most of them are easy to pick out (like X Times the Victor ones) others aren't since you're never going to get the badges in-game.

I'm pretty sure the ???s are all badges that have not been programmed in to have both names and badge text. I have a feeling two of them in the last block must be "Corsair" and "Spectral" though.

You're off on a couple.

You missed Geas, which is implemented, at the bottom, then cut off the extra slots. Also, you labeled all the X Times the Victors as unimplemented.

And the only X times Victor badges that do work with the /settitle command is the 10 times Victor badge, the others 1-9 times victor badges wont set a new badge title, it will just give you the message "your badge title has been cleared".

And that message always comes up either if you don't have the badge or if it doesn’t have a title to be set.

Maybe it doesn’t work with the 1-9 times Victor badges because of the fact they don’t show up in your badge list or well just in the form of an allcolade called 10 times the victor. ;)

I checked that with my toon and it was the badge 129 but, then I logged on my scrapper and she had it on number 126.

Abit wierd but I guess it has to do with the fact that I have used the Stalwart Medallion (respeced my toon) and activated/used that allcolade.

Because my scrapper haven't used any of her respecs and her badge number for stalwart was 126.

So maybe the numbers 126-131 are the same badges, but the number ID changes depending if you have used the respec allcolades/badges or not.(I know you get one of those yellow reward texts when you use one of those respecs at Jack wolf)

It would be easy to test if this is true or not, just go over to the testserver and poke abit on Jack Wolf and then see if the badge numbers are changed or not.

I would do it, but for some evil reason I can't use the test sever at the moment :eek:

Oh you have to have earned the badge to be abel to set it as a title.
So for an example if you haven't earned the "Cold warrior" badge you won't be abel to set it as a title,but somone who has earned it can just type /settitle 26 :)

Hmm, just wondering,,,,,,, wouldnt all of this be accomplished by;

1. clicking on your "badges" drop down menu from the nav bar

2. Click on whatever badge you want set as your in game title

3. Close drop down window

Or, you can mash the "clear badge title" and run around without one at all.

Just thought that might be a little easier....

Yes, but this accomplishes it at the command line. Why would someone want to do it that way?

Perhaps someone wants it in a keybind file that they can load for every hero and use to set their title to something standardized.

Or perhaps... Well, who knows? Some people just prefer the command line.

Yes, I'm almost 100% sure that's what the missing three accolades are - the post respec respec badges.

And this also explains why sometimes they go out of order, because you're being re-rewarded the badge and it's getting tacked on.

Corrected macros/binds. No need for the $$ at the beginning, and commas don't get used for these commands.

I'm not exaclty sure what's going on, but since updating to I6, I can't seem to get the command to work. I've tried /settitle and /set_title (both of which previously did the same thing), and all I get is "Your badge title has been cleared.".
Is it just me? Has the command been changed or removed? In short, what gives?

There is a nice bind file to quickly set titles of all your badges to get them into CGT / CIT, Including the gladiator ones.
