AM= Accelerate Metabolism (radiation; does too many things)
SB= Speed Boost (kinetics; the thing that makes you attack faster); is sometimes called speed

Some more that may or may not have been posted. But i don't have time to read through the entire topic now. So forgive me if i missed it ;).
These are a few I posted at the forum of my SG:
Ack!: "I just got killed by that second mob our stupid [insert AT] aggroed while the rest of our team was still getting buffed/fighting the previous mob/typing 'ack!' from the previous encounter."
AFK: Feeding the baby / my boss walked by / rescueing my store / Shouting at the wife / walking the dog.
Aggro: Good for Tankers, bad for blasters, field day for Trollers, overtime for Defenders, ignored by Scrappers.
Alt: Alternative character. Not the one you use the often, but one of the many other ones. See 'Main'.
Altitis: Severe case of having all your serverslots filled with characters.
Bridge: the character between the PL-ing Hero and the PLed n00b. Usually a difference of 7 or 8 levels below the PL-ing hero. Also 'Middle-bie'.
Bug: Small critters who bite you in your sleep or sting you with their poisonous fangs. Really scary if they'd been 10 times bigger. Annoying at their present size.
Bug II: Small flaws in the game, usually unnoticed by the Dev Team. Really scary if they'd been 10 times bigger. Annoying at their present size.
CoH: City of Heroes: DUH!
CoV: City of Villains, guess you didn't see that one coming.
Char: Character, avatar. The Hero which you are playing.
Enh: Enhancements.
Exemp / Exmp / XMP: Exemplar. Seen being typed in a lot of different ways.
GC: Global Chat.
Inf / Infl: Influence.
Insps: Inspirations.
kk: okay, gotcha.
Main: The char you are playing on CoH the most ATM
Middle-bie: See 'Bridge'
MT: Mis Tell: uses when you typed a message in the wrong chatwindow.
Nerf!: the local language spoken at the COH Boards.
OMW: "I'll be there after i refilled Insps / lvled / restocked my Enhancements / respeced my Alt / all of the above."
PvE: Player versus Enemy. AKA Human vs AI
PvP: Player versus Player. AKA Unhuman Brutality vs Unhuman Brutality.
RTM: "You might find the obvious answer to that unnecessary question in the rather accessible manual."
SG: Supergroup
SK: Sidekick
"Could you please be more quiet."
Troller: Controller
XP: Experience

I know Gratz is on here, but with the addition of CoV we use "Dratz."
As in "Darn you you for leveling before I did!"

Anchor = the target of a debuff which then affects stuff around it. As in "don't kill my anchor". The debuff goes when the anchor dies.

Pretty sure the author meant to say, "the target of a debuff which then compels your teammates to kill it to the total disregard for their health/exp/life goals." ;)

In most of the "How to be a better whatever" guides, people are constantly making reference to an "ED". what does "ED" mean? It seems to be a very unpopular topic as well. Its not endurance, and it isn't a proper name either; My guess is that it has to do with Nerfing or an update change. I am slowly getting used to the lingua paragonica but there are still gaps.
Thank you very much in advance, and i hope this isn't a duplicate post either.

ED is Enhancement Diversification a function introduced in I6 that means that Enhancements give a much lowered return once the bonus they give goes over a certain threshold value.
It is practically impossible to reach this threshold value with Training or Dual Origin Enhancements, but with Single Origin Enhancements it means that slotting more than 3 of a single type of Enhancement starts to return bugger all.

l33t stands for "leet speak", or replacing leters with numbers when typing.

Quoted For Truth
Edit: When you read someones post that you agree with totally you put the quote in a post and put QFT under. Well at least that's what I've observed. Basically: This quote is very true or something along those lines.
So my question is, what's PuG?

two things that need clarification not because they are wrong but because tehy have a few meanings.
1. woot - from P&P rpgs, meaning wow loot. Now its used whenever something good happens Woot SO. woot I leveled.
2. nOOb - actually stands for New Out Of Box. But is more commonly used for someone who refuses to learn the game but apparently knows everything about it.

I know this is the most complete nooblet question...but what does AT stand for? I've been reading alot of posts trying to catch up on this game (haven't played in well over a year) and I know it is an acronym when referring to a player character. But what does it stand for?

It stands for archetype. It's not a true acronym; more of an abreviation of a single word. People also misuse it in place of powerset sometimes.

HA! That was hilarious...and sad. So true, so true.
Actually I'm glad to see this thread. I often spell out my abberviations at the end of my posts for the simple reason that you'll see in my signature.
